Engineering Lead

What you'll do

• Deliver end-to-end product improvements and rework systems with the CTO.
• Use AI-assisted development tools and tailored workflows to speed delivery; contribute to machine learning and product roadmaps.
• Mentor engineers, plan sprints, and take on people management as the team grows.

What they ask for

• At least 5 years in engineering roles; currently writing production code and with only limited time in purely managerial work.
• Daily hands-on use of AI agents in tailored development workflows, with the ability to explain the setup.
• Prior founding engineer, tech lead, or staff-level experience at a demanding startup, or clear ownership of a core product at a large technology company; track record taking products from idea to launch with little supervision.
• Full-stack skills, stronger on the back end; applied machine-learning grounding; degree in computer science, math, statistics, or machine learning from a highly regarded university; willingness to work on-site full-time in New York City.

Nice to have

• Experience at an AI-focused company working on data-intensive products.
• Graduate-level study or research in machine learning or statistics.

Pay

USD 250,000 to 350,000 per year (base salary)
