About the job

Develop, train, validate, compress, and ship compact machine learning models designed to run on consumer hardware.

What you'll do

  • Lead training and refinement of small models, including model compression.
  • Own model capabilities end to end, from data choices and experiments through testing and production release.
  • Document findings, collaborate across teams, and deliver model builds against measurable goals.

What they ask for

  • Hands-on experience with modern model training, including initial training, fine-tuning, and reinforcement learning methods.
  • Practical experience with model compression and techniques for improving small models.
  • Experience in reinforcement learning and/or running models on local devices; familiarity with memory management and GPU performance tuning.
  • Ability to design quality-improving experiments and own delivery of working models from start to finish.

Nice to have

  • Published research in reinforcement learning, on-device machine learning, or efficient inference.
  • Experience shipping models under tight hardware timelines or working with machine learning at consumer scale.
