Build and operate shared cloud infrastructure, release tooling, and reliability practices that help product teams deploy software safely and efficiently.
What you'll do
- Own infrastructure as code and develop internal tools, shared libraries, and SDKs for engineering teams.
- Operate release pipelines and short-lived test environments, and improve platform reliability through SLOs, scaling, and incident response.
- Strengthen production monitoring and tracing, and address data-layer and compute scaling challenges.
What they ask for
- Infrastructure or backend experience at a high-growth technology startup; experience only at very large established tech firms is not a fit, though a mix is acceptable.
- Working knowledge of TypeScript and Node.
- Hands-on experience with release pipelines and on-demand preview environments; Buildkite is preferred.
- Broad AWS expertise; reliability engineering experience; and strong Terraform and/or Pulumi skills, including reusable modules and automated change-review and deployment flows.
Nice to have
- Experience setting up production monitoring and tracing.
- Experience building internal developer platforms, such as command-line tools, scaffolding, or reusable frameworks.
Pay
USD 150,000 to 350,000 per year (base salary)
