About the job
Performs and improves manual and semi-automated GTAW welding processes for fluid subassemblies used in Relativity Space’s Terran R vehicle.
What you'll do
- Prepare, fit, weld, inspect, and own parts from start to finish; use overhead cranes or forklifts to handle hardware and tooling.
- Identify manufacturing issues and work with engineering to implement process improvements.
- Help optimize the shop floor using 5S principles and contribute to a culture of safety and precision.
What they ask for
- 3+ years performing GTAW welding on relevant materials such as stainless steel, Inconel, aluminum, and/or titanium.
- Proficient in material preparation and joint fitting for welding.
- Strong documentation skills and ability to follow work instructions and part drawings.
- Able to work at heights and in confined spaces; comfortable with measuring and cutting tools.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with NDE processes such as dye penetrant (PT), radiography (RT), and ultrasonic inspection (UT / PAUT).
- Clean room experience.
