Leads Replit’s SRE team in building and operating production platforms for observability, incident response, testing, performance, capacity, and safe software rollouts.
What you'll do
- Lead and grow the SRE team, coaching engineers, developing technical leaders, and hiring.
- Build and operate reliability capabilities, including observability, incident management, load and failure testing, performance engineering, and rollout infrastructure.
- Partner with service teams to diagnose and resolve production issues, improve performance, and measure reliability and cost outcomes.

- Demonstrated engineering management experience, including developing engineers, making prioritization and performance decisions, and delivering through a team.
- Experience building and operating distributed systems or reliability platforms, with knowledge of deployment behavior, Kubernetes, telemetry, service dependencies, and recovery mechanisms.
- Experience leading consequential migrations or incidents and using measurement to diagnose and validate reliability or performance improvements.
- Ability to build platform capabilities adopted by other teams and make tradeoffs among reliability, performance, engineering effort, and cost.
Nice to have
- Experience with GitOps or progressive-delivery platforms such as Harness, ArgoCD, or Kargo.
- Experience with observability, profiling, load- and failure-testing systems, cloud cost and capacity planning, or growing distributed teams.
