About the job
Build and improve security foundations, secure defaults, and detection and response for Resend’s internal platform and email-sending services.
What you'll do
- Develop security foundations for API keys, permissions, secrets, tenant isolation, audit logs, and internal access controls.
- Establish secure defaults and integrate security into services, infrastructure, and deployment pipelines.
- Improve detection and response for suspicious access, credential leaks, abnormal sending, privilege changes, and sensitive events.
What they ask for
- Experience securing production infrastructure, cloud environments, APIs, developer platforms, or multi-tenant SaaS products.
- Ability to write code and read application, infrastructure, and deployment code.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, secrets, IAM, logging, audit trails, incident response, and secure deployment pipelines.
- Ability to independently prioritize and drive day-to-day work as the first dedicated security hire.
Nice to have
- Experience with email infrastructure, transactional email, sender reputation, domain verification, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, webhooks, or abuse prevention.
- Experience with cloud security tools, security observability, incident response, supply-chain security, or compliance and customer trust processes.
Pay
$140,000 - $160,000 USD (base salary)
