$171K–$235K

Irvine, California · Hybrid · Staff · Full-time · Posted Oct 20, 2026

Experience
5+ years in vehicle, aerospace or electromechanical systems engineering — or an equivalent record of building the analyses that decided real designs.
Education
BS/MS in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Systems or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated experience.

About the job

Develop vehicle-level mechatronic architecture models and trade studies, apply AI to engineering artifacts and workflows, and support systems analyses from concept through manufacturing.

What you'll do

  • Build parametric architecture, cost, and BOM models; run quantified trade studies and assess technology integration.
  • Develop and integrate LLM and agentic tools for extracting, checking, searching, and analyzing architecture information.
  • Contribute to vehicle-level safety and fault analyses, design reviews, model correlation, and reusable engineering playbooks.

What they ask for

  • BS/MS in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Systems or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Strong Python for data processing, parametric modeling, automation, and AI workflow prototyping.
  • Practical experience building LLM applications, such as RAG pipelines, semantic search, structured extraction, or agent frameworks.
  • Systems-minded with ability to reason across subsystems, functions, interfaces, and consequential engineering metrics.

Nice to have

  • E/E architecture experience, including zonal and secondary ECUs, power distribution, networks, harness design, CAN/Ethernet, or DBC/ARXML.
  • Experience with physical simulation tools, statistical analysis, manufacturing/DFM, GitLab CI/CD, or STPA/DFMEA.

Pay

$171.1K – $235.3K (base salary)

Tools

Python, LLM, RAG, Flow Engineering, Airtable, GitLab, CAN/Ethernet, OpenModelica

AI focus

Build LLM and agentic pipelines for engineering specifications and architecture artifacts, semantic search, candidate configuration generation and checking, gap detection, AI-assisted toolchain workflows, and downstream decision analytics.
