Supports Rocket Lab’s Optical Team by building test setups, conducting experiments, and analyzing data for optical technologies.
What you'll do
- Build optical test setups, run experiments, and analyze data.
- Work with mentors and department employees on engineering challenges and professional development.
- Provide progress updates and collaborate with colleagues across teams.
What they ask for
- Enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate program in engineering, physics, or math, with at least one semester remaining after the internship.
- GPA of 3.0 or above.
- At least 3 months of applied engineering experience; internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience count.
- Available to work full-time on-site for at least 12 consecutive weeks beginning May or June 2027.
Nice to have
- GPA of 3.5 or above and/or 6+ months of applied engineering experience.
- Python, CAD/CAM, or familiarity with optical systems or imaging sensors.
