San Francisco · Hybrid · Full-time · Posted May 7, 2026

Experience
10+ years of audio engineering; at least one shipped consumer product with end-to-end ownership of a multi-microphone voice system.

About the job

Own the end-to-end audio system for Sabi’s EEG/BCI wearable, from microphone array and real-time DSP through wake-word detection and spatial speaker output, and help ship the product.

What you'll do

  • Lead audio architecture, component selection and benchmarking, DSP development, and acoustic/electrical integration.
  • Validate microphone-array performance, wake-word experience, and audio-chain reliability in realistic use conditions.
  • Coordinate audio work with internal teams and external engineering partners; help build the audio team and cloud-side voice processing capability.

What they ask for

  • 10+ years of audio engineering and at least one shipped consumer product involving end-to-end ownership of a multi-microphone voice system.
  • Deep voice DSP expertise, including beamforming, AEC, noise suppression, and direction-of-arrival estimation.
  • Shipped wake-word or always-on voice activation at consumer scale, including data collection and metric tuning.
  • Real-time DSP pipeline design on constrained MCUs; strong acoustic engineering and audio-component selection and benchmarking experience.

Nice to have

  • Deploying audio DSP, wake-word, or speech models on dedicated low-power AI accelerators; experience with leading on-device wake-word engines.
  • Multi-channel audio DSPs, Class-D amplifier design, spatial audio rendering, or cloud STT pipelines and voice UX latency budgets.

Pay

$300K – $400K USD base salary
