Lead Electrical Engineer

$300K–$400K

San Francisco · Hybrid · Full-time · Posted May 7, 2026

Experience
10+ years; at least one shipped product.

About the job

Lead the electrical architecture and product development of Sabi’s EEG/BCI wearable, from schematic design through manufacturing ramp.

What you'll do

  • Own platform electrical architecture, including compute, sensors, power, RF, and signal and power integrity; lead schematic and flex/rigid-flex PCB design.
  • Drive component selection, BOM and second-source strategy, electrical bring-up, validation, and manufacturing qualification with contract manufacturers.
  • Build and lead the electrical engineering team as production scales.

What they ask for

  • 10+ years designing complex consumer hardware and at least one shipped product in wearables, audio, mobile, or comparable hardware.
  • Deep mixed-signal expertise across MCU systems, sensor AFEs, audio DSPs, image sensor interfaces, RF/wireless, and battery/charging.
  • Hands-on SI/PI sign-off on flex and rigid-flex multi-island designs; experience architecting and validating multi-MCU communication buses.
  • Shipped-product experience owning part selection, BOM and second-source strategy; hardware bring-up and firmware debug; and overseas CM relationships and DFM, DFT, and DFA from prototype through volume.

Nice to have

  • EEG, ECoG, or other biopotential systems, especially high-channel-count or dense sensor arrays; low-power AI accelerator integration.
  • Custom ASIC bring-up, silicon co-design, or in-array readout architectures; RF design for body-worn antennas and multi-radio coexistence; founding or lead experience at an early-stage hardware company.
