Research Scientist - Salesforce AI Research

What you'll do

• Identify high-impact Enterprise AI research directions and turn ideas into AI product prototypes.
• Work with customers to validate needs, test solutions, and refine product direction.
• Build enterprise-ready models, agents, and AI systems, partnering across teams to bring them to market.

What they ask for

• Strong publication record at top AI venues and/or proven experience shipping AI research into products.
• Experience with Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, or DeepSpeed.
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more stated AI focus areas, such as agentic AI, multimodal AI, speech intelligence, or core modeling and post-training.
• Ability to conduct independent research and translate ideas into impactful systems.

Nice to have

• Ph.D. in a relevant technical field or equivalent full-time industry experience in deep learning research or product.
• Experience building and scaling ML models for business applications, mentoring researchers, or programming/open-source work.

Pay

$117,200 - $313,700 annually (base salary); $141,200 - $344,700 annually (base salary)
