Software Engineer II - Slack Developer Workspaces

What you'll do

• Scale and operate the AI sandbox fleet, including capacity planning, safe rollouts, image builds, and alerting.
• Improve isolation and security for agents and sandboxes, including network separation, egress controls, secrets handling, and patching.
• Operate remote development environments, improve observability, and join the weekly on-call rotation after ramp-up.

What they ask for

• 3+ years of experience building and operating production systems.
• Infrastructure, SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering experience, including on-call responsibility.
• Strong AWS knowledge, including EC2, networking, and IAM; infrastructure as code with Terraform or similar.
• Solid coding skills in Go or Python; daily use of AI coding tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with Firecracker, KVM, or other virtualization; production Kubernetes experience.
• Security background in VM or container isolation, vulnerability management, or threat modeling; Linux internals and networking experience.

Pay

$148,500 - $2,239,000 annually (base salary); $178,900 - $246,000 annually (base salary)
