About the job
Own and improve Salient’s cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Render, focusing on consistency, capacity, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
What you'll do
- Operate infrastructure across providers and manage infrastructure as code, reusable modules, consistent environments, and drift detection.
- Forecast capacity and manage autoscaling, quotas, cloud cost attribution, monitoring, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Maintain reliability, observability, incident response, and secure, auditable infrastructure supporting SOC 2 and customer security requirements.

- Production infrastructure experience on AWS and/or GCP at meaningful scale, with comfort across providers.
- Experience managing infrastructure as code and bringing hand-built environments under control.
- Demonstrated cloud cost savings and ability to explain pricing, commitments, and data transfer costs.
