About the job

Develop and optimize compiler components that lower machine learning models and map operations onto SambaNova’s RDU accelerator.

What you'll do

  • Implement and optimize compiler IR passes; lower and partition machine learning models for the RDU.
  • Develop tensor tiling and on-chip memory management, and map operations onto the RDU fabric.
  • Debug compiler and performance issues using C++ and Python, working with runtime and hardware teams.

What they ask for

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in machine learning systems development, such as ML compilers, LLM inference kernels, or kernel generation.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and C/C++.
  • Experience programming GPUs or other AI accelerators.

Nice to have

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with MLIR or StableHLO, LLM kernel libraries, machine learning systems research, open-source contributions, or AI agent-driven tools and automation.
