About the job

Define CPU architecture and performance direction for next-generation RISC-V platforms, from workload analysis and microarchitectural research through RTL implementation and silicon validation.

What you'll do

  • Lead performance analysis and modeling to guide architectural trade-offs and long-term design direction.
  • Drive CPU microarchitecture and architecture-to-implementation alignment with RTL design teams.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, and contribute research leading to patents and publications.

What they ask for

  • At least 5 years in CPU microarchitecture, architecture research, or performance engineering, with a track record of driving architectural direction.
  • Experience designing and evaluating high-performance CPU architectures, such as RISC-V, ARM, or x86, and quantitative performance analysis and modeling.
  • Deep expertise in a major microarchitectural domain and hands-on experience building, extending, and applying architectural simulators and performance models.
  • Strong C/C++ and Python programming skills; ability to carry architectural concepts through RTL implementation and silicon validation.

Nice to have

  • Experience with AI/ML, agentic AI, or data center workloads; AI-driven architecture and design methodologies.
  • Experience with memory-centric CPU-memory co-design, system-level PPA trade-offs, or taking designs through tape-out and silicon validation.
