About the job

Planarizes semiconductor wafers through CMP process control and optimization to improve flatness, uniformity, and yield while reducing defects.

What you'll do

  • Control removal rate and optimize CMP conditions and recipes to improve wafer uniformity and flatness.
  • Manage wafer defects and consumable lifecycles, and evaluate slurries and polishing pads.
  • Analyze process performance and resolve chronic issues, including scratches, particles, and nonuniform removal profiles.

What they ask for

  • Knowledge of dielectric and metal CMP fundamentals, including slurry-pad-conditioning interactions and post-clean steps.
  • Proficiency in SPC, FDC, and analysis software such as JMP or Spotfire.
  • Ability to conduct root-cause analysis using FMEA, 8D, and first-principles physics.
  • Flexibility to work off-hours and/or a CWW shift schedule as business needs require.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with AMAT/EBara CMP tools and endpoint systems.
  • Experience with Ellipsometry, SEM, and AFM; defect reduction, fab integration, or structured DOE.
