About the job
Navigate Saronic’s Marauder autonomous surface vessel during commissioning tests and builder trials, while monitoring autonomous systems and supporting vessel operations and mission objectives.
What you'll do
- Safely navigate the vessel to and from testing sites and stand a navigational watch while monitoring and operating autonomous systems.
- Contribute to vessel operations as directed by the Captain.
- Assist with the shipboard execution of mission objectives.
What they ask for
- Valid U.S. Coast Guard Minimum National 500/1600T Mate Upon Oceans license; Unlimited Mate’s License desired.
- STCW Basic Training, GMDSS Operator, OICNW, FCC License, valid TWIC, USCG STCW Medical Certificate, and passport.
- Proficiency in maritime navigation systems; able to stand a 12-hour navigational watch.
- Pass background check and USCG/DOT drug testing; security clearance eligibility required.
Nice to have
- Familiarity or experience with maneuvering jet-drive propelled vessels; experience with autonomous or unmanned systems.
- Prior experience working with the DoD or other government agencies.
