About the job

Own the design, deployment, and ongoing software operation of robotic cells on production lines, integrating robotics and learned capabilities to automate high-mix manufacturing.

What you'll do

  • Build robotic cells from prototype through production deployment, then hand them to industrial engineering while maintaining their software, firmware, and data.
  • Integrate hardware, motion planning, controls, sensing, perception, tooling, and factory software into reliable, repeatable cells.
  • Incorporate learned skills into production cells and return production data and failure cases to support further training.

What they ask for

  • Hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying production robotic systems, including technical leadership; rapid prototyping and iteration on real hardware.
  • Experience programming industrial or collaborative robot arms, including motion planning, calibration, and safety; hands-on perception and controls experience on real robots.
  • Hands-on exposure to learning-based robotics; strong Python and C++, robotics tools, and production software practices.
  • Mechanical CAD skills for fixtures and end effectors; bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent hands-on experience; must meet stated U.S. Person/ITAR eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

  • Experience shipping learning-based perception or manipulation into production and scaling automation across production lines or sites.
  • High-mix assembly, industrial engineering, machine safety standards, aerospace/defense manufacturing, or mentoring experience.

Pay

$180,000–$220,000 USD (base salary)
