Principal Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Own HR-domain AI architecture, agent autonomy boundaries, and model and orchestration decisions.
• Build evaluation, safety, observability, and compatibility infrastructure for teams shipping AI experiences.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and partner across product, engineering, and design.

What they ask for

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with technical direction adopted beyond the immediate team.
• Hands-on experience authoring agentic instructions and prompts, designing autonomous workflows, and building evaluations.
• Production experience with LLM APIs, retrieval-grounded features, agent orchestration, tool and function calling, structured output enforcement, and at least one production model or orchestration migration.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, software engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• HR domain depth in case management, employee lifecycle, or payroll, benefits, leave, or absence.
• Integration experience with core HR, payroll, or benefits systems of record.

Pay

$199,100 - $348,400 USD base salary
