Leads Shepherd’s Builders Risk business, owning its production, P&L, growth strategy, roadmap, and underwriting team.
What you'll do
- Lead and develop a team of underwriters while driving Builders Risk production and business growth.
- Set the vertical’s roadmap and own its P&L.
- Oversee underwriting, including pricing and negotiating coverage, terms, and conditions for new business and renewals; identify accounts that fit Shepherd’s underwriting appetite.
What they ask for
- At least 2 years of team leadership experience.
- Background in commercial insurance production, underwriting, or distribution, with success in broker relationship management, marketing, producer management, and new business development.
- Experience in risk analysis and construction and/or casualty underwriting; knowledge of compliance, coverage, products, and pricing strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; strong teamwork, communication, and negotiation skills.
Nice to have
- Builder’s Risk, Inland Marine, and/or Construction experience.
