Build and lead Shepherd’s retail commercial casualty business, setting underwriting strategy and growing a profitable book while partnering with technology and business teams.
What you'll do
- Set the vertical’s underwriting strategy, guidelines, authority framework, rating approach, and growth and loss-ratio targets.
- Underwrite primary and excess casualty accounts; manage the vertical’s financial and portfolio results.
- Develop broker relationships and lead, hire, and coach the underwriting team, collaborating with product, engineering, data, claims, actuarial, customer experience, and finance.
