About the job
Build and lead Shepherd’s Professional Liability insurance product, setting underwriting strategy and growing a profitable book focused initially on E&O and MPL.
What you'll do
- Set product strategy, underwriting guidelines, rating approach, authority framework, and referral rules.
- Underwrite primary and excess business; manage the book’s premium, profit, loss-ratio, and retention results.
- Develop broker business and hire, coach, and grow the underwriting team, collaborating with Product, Engineering, Data, and other functions.
