About the job

Develops and deploys behavior and motion-planning algorithms and production software for autonomous systems operating in complex environments.

What you'll do

  • Research, design, implement, and optimize trajectory-planning and control algorithms for single- and multi-agent systems.
  • Build and test planning software; evaluate performance in simulation and, where applicable, on real hardware.
  • Collaborate on requirements and architecture, diagnose failures, and take features through verification and flight testing.

What they ask for

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, applied mathematics, operations research, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience building, testing, and debugging nontrivial C++ software in optimization, motion planning, robotics, autonomous systems, or a related algorithmic domain.
  • Experience with modern C++ concurrency and Python; practical Linux software development experience.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, testing, debugging, version control, CI/CD, and maintainable design.

Nice to have

  • Experience with behavior or motion planning, multi-agent planning, trajectory or multi-objective optimization; solver experience with Gurobi, OR-Tools, or CPLEX.
  • Experience applying VLMs or VLAs, or delivering software for fielded, real-time, safety-critical, or resource-constrained autonomous systems.

Pay

USD 135,000–300,000 (per-year-salary), salary range; pay type beyond salary is not specified.

Tools

C++, Python, Linux, Gurobi, OR-Tools, CPLEX, VLMs, VLAs

AI focus

May involve planning approaches incorporating vision-language models (VLMs), vision-language-action models (VLAs), or other learned components.
