About the job

Leads a technical team developing, integrating, and testing perception and state-estimation software for aerospace, defense, and robotics systems, including deployment on real aircraft hardware.

What you'll do

  • Lead autonomy, integration, and testing teams; coordinate technical work and mission-focused execution.
  • Develop and integrate C++ perception and state-estimation software, including an A-PNT system for GNSS-degraded or denied environments.
  • Validate algorithms using simulated and real-world data, aerial platforms, sensor models, and software quality analyzers.

What they ask for

  • BS/MS in a relevant engineering or computer science field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Typically 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 9 with a Master’s, 8 with a PhD, or equivalent work experience; 2+ years managing technical teams.
  • Experience integrating and working with sensor payloads in the DoD space; proficiency in sensor fusion for noisy, high-bandwidth exteroceptive sensors on compute-constrained systems.
  • Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance; experience developing, benchmarking, debugging, and deploying software-based algorithms.

Nice to have

  • Understanding of autonomous robotics, unmanned systems, and high-fidelity simulation and sensor modeling.
  • Working knowledge of Kalman Filter, Factor Graphs, and modern estimator fundamentals; hands-on experience with OpenCV or similar CV libraries.
