Senior Staff Engineer, System Architect (R5843)

What you'll do

• Define and maintain system, data, interface, and deployment architecture, connecting architectural intent to engineering execution.
• Design GenAI-enabled and agentic workflows that support AI development while preserving human oversight, security, traceability, and reproducibility.
• Guide cross-team design and integration for workflows from data curation and model training through evaluation, validation, and deployment.

What they ask for

• 10+ years of experience in software or software-intensive systems development, design, and/or architecture.
• Demonstrated experience architecting complex software platforms, developer ecosystems, SDKs, APIs, AI/ML platforms, or distributed systems.
• Experience developing AI/ML solutions using synthetic and real-world data, and applying Generative AI, AI assistants, or agents to engineering workflows.
• Experience in data modeling and architecture; practical understanding of Kubernetes, Slurm or comparable workload schedulers, containerization, infrastructure as code, and S3-compatible storage.

Nice to have

• Experience designing AI-native or agentic workflows, MLOps, distributed training, simulation, synthetic data generation, experiment tracking, or model registries.
• Experience with modern AI models, restricted-network deployments, hybrid or edge architectures, autonomy/robotics/aerospace, MBSE, or high-assurance systems.
