Leads V-BAT flight operations for DoD and foreign customers in overseas land-based and maritime deployments, including mission planning, flight execution, team leadership, and customer coordination.
What you'll do
- Lead mission planning, risk assessments, pre-mission briefings, flight operations, and post-flight debriefs.
- Conduct Functional Check Flights and system validation; maintain aircraft configuration control and logbook accuracy while coordinating fleet readiness with maintenance.
- Mentor junior operators, represent operations on site to customers, and lead small teams during deployments.

- At least 2000 documented unmanned flight hours or 1000 manned flight hours; demonstrated instructor experience.
- FAA Private Pilot License (PPL) and FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Class II Medical Certificate and obtain and hold a Secret DoD security clearance.
- Pass required screenings; travel up to 50–75%; lead and operate independently in austere conditions.
