What you'll do

  • Design and evaluate reasoning models, comparing foundation-model, specialized deep-learning, and traditional AI/ML approaches.
  • Create reproducible training workflows, datasets, objectives, benchmarks, and evaluations in simulation and with real-world data.
  • Deliver trained models and performance evidence, working with partner teams to address edge constraints and model failures.

What they ask for

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience developing and deploying advanced ML models in production.
  • Expertise in foundation models, modern deep learning, model architectures, and training approaches including self-supervised learning, supervised fine-tuning, imitation learning, reinforcement learning, and distillation.
  • Experience defining datasets, training objectives, experimental workflows, benchmarks, and reproducible model comparisons.
  • Experience with training frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.

Nice to have

  • Expertise optimizing and deploying ML models on resource-constrained hardware; experience with simulation-to-real on autonomous systems.
  • Experience with unmanned autonomous systems in defense applications.
