Staff UAS Flight Test Operator - 5793

What you'll do

• Plan and lead safe flight-test campaigns, missions, fly–fix–fly operations, and operational risk assessments.
• Configure and operate UAS, payloads, ground-control systems, and test equipment; monitor telemetry and evaluate aircraft and autonomy behavior.
• Document test results and defects, coordinate issue triage, and improve test procedures, safety, product quality, and customer readiness.

What they ask for

• 8+ years operating, configuring, and maintaining Group 1/2 UAS platforms.
• Demonstrated leadership of complex UAS flight operations, including mission planning, test-card execution, crew briefings and debriefings, and real-time coordination.
• Knowledge of COTS UAS hardware, autopilots, payloads, ground control stations, communications systems, and test equipment; experience with readiness and configuration control.
• Experience developing and executing SOPs, checklists, risk assessments, and hazard mitigations; working knowledge of National Airspace System operations and flight authorization; FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.

Nice to have

• Experience with autonomy, AI-enabled systems, developmental flight tests, or multi-aircraft UAS operations.
• Experience across simulation through flight testing; hands-on integration; or proficiency with ArduPilot, PX4, QGroundControl, Mission Planner, Linux, IP networking, MAVLink, ROS/ROS 2, or basic scripting.
