About the job
Own the robot camera-to-policy perception pipeline, including hardware sensing, synthetic-data rendering, model training and deployment, and evaluation on real-world conditions.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain camera and depth systems, including sensor bring-up, calibration, synchronization, and latency management.
- Develop GPU rendering and synthetic-data pipelines, and train and deploy perception models that transfer to real robots.
- Evaluate perception against ground truth, diagnose failures, and build tools to inspect datasets and robot runs.
What they ask for
- 2+ years building real-time rendering, computer vision, or perception systems from scratch; engineering clubs and commercial or research internships count.
- Strong proficiency in Python and C++, and comfort writing GPU code.
- Practical computer vision and deep learning experience in PyTorch, applied to perception.
- Hands-on experience with real cameras and depth sensors, including calibration and synchronization.
Nice to have
- Experience with physically based rendering and production renderers or engines such as Blender/Cycles, Omniverse, Unreal, Mitsuba, PBRT, or Isaac Sim.
- Experience with synthetic data generation at scale and measured sim-to-real transfer results.
Pay
$125,000 – $250,000 USD annual base salary
Tools
Python, C++, CUDA, GLSL/HLSL, Vulkan, OpenGL, PyTorch, Blender/Cycles
AI focus
