Leads the development and production integration of perception systems that help Tally robots understand retail environments and perform reliably.
What you'll do
- Design, evaluate, integrate, and optimize robot perception pipelines, including detection, segmentation, depth estimation, tracking, sensor fusion, localization, and calibration.
- Improve real-time performance and autonomy by integrating perception models with robot software and optimizing them for robot hardware.
- Benchmark and debug perception and autonomy performance in production stores, and provide technical leadership and mentorship.
What they ask for
- 7+ years of experience in robotic perception, computer vision, machine learning, autonomous systems, or related production robotics work.
- Strong proficiency in Python and C++ in Linux-based development environments.
- Hands-on experience with ROS and/or ROS2, robot sensor pipelines, and deployed robotics systems.
- Experience with model training and inference tools, embedded or edge deployment, and demonstrated adoption of LLM-assisted and agentic programming techniques.
Nice to have
- Experience with AMRs, autonomous vehicles, drones, warehouse robotics, industrial automation, or service robots.
- Experience with stereo or RGBD cameras, LiDAR, visual SLAM, NVIDIA Isaac tools, Jetson/Orin, or productionizing research prototypes.
