About the job
Develop and maintain the software stack for Tally autonomous robots, improving their autonomy and supporting software shared across Simbe teams.
What you'll do
- Maintain and extend the Tally software stack and develop software packages shared across teams.
- Improve autonomy, navigation, perception, and human-robot interaction behaviors; evaluate third-party software packages for integration.
- Assist with DevOps and CI/CD development.
What they ask for
- Extremely adept in both C++ and Python; proficient in shell scripting, preferably Bash and Python.
- Good understanding of ROS concepts and experience writing ROS nodes.
- Proficient with Git and experienced with Ubuntu or other Debian-based Linux distributions.
- Experience with modern software development methodologies and packaging and deploying software in production environments.
Nice to have
- Understanding of both ROS1 and ROS2; experience with databases, especially redis, Docker, Nvidia Jetson, cloud platforms, or connected IoT devices.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field is highly recommended but not required.
