About the job

Build algorithms, models, and automated experiments that turn plasma sensor data into reliable material metrics for manufacturing products.

What you'll do

  • Develop end-to-end modeling pipelines and material representations from raw sensor data to customer-facing metrics and alerts.
  • Design automated experimental protocols integrating plasma hardware, robotics, sensing, and data capture.
  • Validate and monitor models, data quality, and deployment performance across benchtop products and pilot manufacturing lines.

What they ask for

  • Advanced degree (PhD or MS with substantial experience) in a quantitative field, with a strong focus on data analysis and modeling.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience building models for real-world sensor or process data, in industry or postdoc.
  • Strong Python skills and experience with scientific computing/ML tooling; demonstrated end-to-end analysis workflow experience.
  • Experience with at least one high-dimensional measurement modality and automated experimental workflows or hardware-software-integrated test rigs.

Nice to have

  • Experience with hardware APIs, multimodal data fusion, or deploying models to edge or real-time systems.
  • Experience in plasma physics, materials science, lab automation, MLOps, or battery manufacturing and related processes.
