- Experience
- 4–8+ years of relevant work experience.
- Education
- BS in Electrical Engineering required; MS in Electrical Engineering is a plus.
About the job
Develops and validates signal and power integrity for next-generation SSD controller packages and PCB designs, including simulation, lab measurements, and product debugging.
What you'll do
- Provide SI/PI expertise for SSD controller substrate and PCB design; define stack-ups, via technologies, placement, and routing constraints.
- Review and validate designs, create guidelines and reports, and coordinate lab verification with cross-functional teams.
- Debug products, perform root-cause analysis, address customer escalations, and mentor engineers.
What they ask for
- BS in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience designing high-speed SSD boards and conducting pre-layout and post-layout simulations for PCIe Gen4/5/6, DDR4/5, LPDDR4/4x, NVIO, and PDN.
- Strong fundamentals in 2D/3D EM simulation and transmission line theory; experience with EM field solvers and time- and frequency-domain simulation tools.
- Correlate simulations with measurements using oscilloscopes, VNA, and TDR; understand PCB signaling, crosstalk, signal loss, and impedance control.
Nice to have
- MS in Electrical Engineering; technical leadership experience.
- Experience with high-frequency low-loss PCB materials, flex circuits, PCIe/DRAM equalization, IBIS, PDN extraction, or PCISIG, JEDEC, and ONFI specifications.
Tools
