About the job
Leads Skydio’s Utilities Solutions Engineering team, overseeing technical customer engagements from discovery and solution design through trials, deployment, and expansion.
What you'll do
- Hire, develop, and manage the Utilities Solutions Engineering team, including capacity, enablement, and career progression.
- Own utilities technical wins and paid dock trials, and act as the senior technical escalation point for pursuits, deployments, and customer issues.
- Guide utility integrations and inspection workflows, and direct customer feedback and technical assets to product teams.
What they ask for
- Experience in a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, or equivalent technical pre-sales role serving electric or water utilities.
- Working knowledge of utility inspection payloads and data workflows, and familiarity with GIS and enterprise integrations.
- Demonstrated people leadership, including hiring, coaching, and performance management; first-time managers with strong technical leadership track records will be considered.
- FAA Part 107 Certificate, or ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire; ability to travel up to 50% and lift up to 60 lbs unaided.
Nice to have
- Direct utility industry experience, such as utility UAS program leadership, line work, distribution operations, or asset management.
- Utility UAS program ownership, condition-based maintenance, dock-based or BVLOS operations, regulatory reporting, or Salesforce, Jira, or Databricks experience.
Pay
$210,000 - $275,000 USD annual base salary
