What you'll do
- Set Snowsight performance strategy, goals, budgets, and CI/CD guardrails using real-user metrics.
- Build performance monitoring and tooling, and diagnose and address bottlenecks across rendering, data handling, builds, and delivery.
- Guide product teams on performance-aware architecture and mentor engineers on performance practices.
What they ask for
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with deep web-performance expertise in large-scale, complex web applications.
- Expert-level JavaScript/TypeScript and React knowledge, including diagnosing performance issues in large React codebases.
- Strong browser performance fundamentals and experience designing and operating RUM and synthetic performance monitoring at scale.
- Experience with build and delivery optimization, large-dataset rendering, and platform or infrastructure work serving engineering teams; able to work on-site in Bellevue, WA or Menlo Park, CA.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with server-side rendering, streaming SSR, edge rendering, or browser engines and internals.
- Contributions to web performance standards, browser APIs, or open-source performance tooling; experience with observability platforms or data-intensive UIs.
