About the job
Designs and operates scalable data platforms and pipelines that support Socure’s identity verification products, machine learning feature engineering, and analytics.
What you'll do
- Build batch and streaming pipelines and own complex data initiatives from architecture through deployment, monitoring, and documentation.
- Automate data operations and improve workload cost, performance, and reliability.
- Partner with Data Science, Product, and Engineering to translate requirements into data solutions and evaluate new platform technologies.
What they ask for
- 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience building and maintaining production-grade platforms and pipelines.
- Programming skills in a general-purpose language such as Python or Scala, plus SQL; deep experience with Apache Spark and performance optimization.
- Experience building data solutions with AWS services and understanding data modeling and warehousing for large-scale datasets.
- Experience supporting production pipelines and applying software engineering practices, including monitoring, incident response, version control, CI/CD, testing, and code review.
Nice to have
- Experience with streaming or near-real-time processing, orchestration tools, modern data platform patterns, or prompt engineering with GenAI/LLMs.
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to engineering standards and best practices.
