Principal Software Engineer, Cloud Networking Platform

What you'll do

• Define and deliver networking architecture and multi-year strategy, including multi-region, multi-cluster, and progressive traffic management.
• Build AI tooling, automation, and guardrails for safe network and infrastructure changes; advise on network policies with Security, Compliance, and Risk.
• Lead incident response, establish networking SLOs and observability, influence cross-company technical decisions, and mentor senior engineers.

What they ask for

• 10+ years of professional engineering experience, including 2+ years in a Staff-or-above technical leadership role with company-wide or multi-department scope.
• Deep expertise in networking protocols, internet-facing networks, and AWS multi-account and multi-region networking.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes networking, traffic management for progressive delivery, and AI-based infrastructure or operations automation.
• Programming skills in Go or Python, infrastructure as code and network automation experience, and a track record of cross-functional technical leadership and high-severity incident response.

Nice to have

• On-premises networking and hybrid cloud connectivity; zero trust, segmentation, or workload identity.
• Agentic infrastructure tooling, PKI and certificate automation, or applying security and compliance frameworks to regulated network design.
