About the job
Lead the design, integration, deployment, and field reliability of a VLA-powered robotic gripping and assembly system for manufacturing customers.
What you'll do
- Own the system from concept and design through build, deployment, and field reliability; support other flagship products as needed.
- Design end-effectors and mechatronics, and integrate cameras, force, torque, and tactile sensing with a 6DOF arm.
- Operationalize learned manipulation policies by building demonstration-data pipelines, integrating inference with real-time control, and testing performance on hardware.
What they ask for
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or similar.
- At least 10 years of full-time on-the-job experience; demonstrated technical depth and delivery of a robotic system from concept to delivery.

- Strong understanding of AI tools; must be free to work without visa sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Hands-on manipulation or grasping experience, or experience with learned policies such as VLA, imitation learning, or ROS.
- M.S. degree; familiarity with manipulation stacks such as ROS or ROS 2, OpenVLA or pi-0 style policies, RT-style models, and sim-to-real.
Pay
$170,000 - $190,000 per year (base salary)
Tools
VLA, Python, ROS, ROS 2, OpenVLA, pi-0, imitation learning, 6DOF
AI focus
