About the job
Designs and verifies FPGA firmware and gateware for control, signal processing, and space-to-space power-beaming spacecraft systems.
What you'll do
- Design and verify FPGA gateware and implement and validate algorithms in FPGAs and firmware.
- Support simulation, verification, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and development of verification plans.
- Analyze requirements, components, timing, and clock-domain crossings; collaborate on interfaces and support flight-platform qualification.
What they ask for
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience designing and verifying FPGA gateware in VHDL or Verilog.
- Familiarity with FPGA/SoC design toolchains, including synthesis, place-and-route, and timing closure.
- Experience with logic simulation, self-checking testbenches, assertions/checkers, automated regression tests, and Git or equivalent version control.
Nice to have
- Experience with a structured verification framework such as UVM, OSVVM/UVVM, or cocotb; equivalent structured verification experience is welcome.
- Exposure to real-time control loops, space-qualified FPGA/SoC platforms, DSP, spacecraft communications, or relevant interfaces; MATLAB/Simulink is a plus.
Tools
