Staff Product Manager, Accounting Products

What you'll do

• Set product strategy, roadmap, and success measures; take products from customer discovery and prototypes through scaled adoption.
• Define how humans and agents configure accounting policies, explain results, investigate exceptions, and resolve them with appropriate controls, approvals, and audit trails.
• Shape Revenue Recognition for Stripe Billing and Metronome, and define integrations with general ledgers, ERP, and other customer systems.

What they ask for

• 10+ years of product management experience delivering complex, technically or domain-intensive products, including senior individual-contributor leadership.
• Experience building products for finance, accounting, or similarly demanding domains where accuracy, controls, traceability, and trust are essential.
• Experience working directly with specialized users and understanding complex systems, data models, APIs, integrations, and technical tradeoffs.
• Strategic judgment taking products from ambiguity to execution, plus strong communication and collaborative leadership across teams.

Nice to have

• Experience building accounting products for controllers, accounting teams, or Office of the CFO users; working knowledge of revenue recognition under ASC 606 or IFRS 15.
• Experience building AI or agent-powered products with human review or approval workflows; familiarity with general ledgers and ERP systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Xero; accounting background, CPA qualification, or close partnership with accounting policy, controllership, or audit teams.
