Engineering Manager

What you'll do

• Hire, coach, and develop engineers into independent owners; define team ownership and technical direction.
• Use customer, product, data, and system evidence to set a roadmap and establish lightweight practices for quality, evaluation, releases, and incidents.
• Guide technical decisions and production response, and use AI engineering tools while ensuring quality, security, and verification.

What they ask for

• At least two years managing engineers who build production software.
• Experience hiring, giving direct feedback, handling performance issues, and developing senior engineers.
• Experience building or leading technically demanding products involving complex workflows, data systems, AI/ML, infrastructure, or sensitive information.
• Ability to review code and designs, debug with the team, and use AI engineering tools fluently with a practical approach to verification.

Nice to have

• Startup experience and comfort with broad ownership and changing context.
• Experience with software, data, ML, evaluation, or infrastructure teams; enterprise data connections; privacy-sensitive products; or engineering quality systems.

AI focus

Build products and systems involving AI/ML, use AI engineering tools directly, and establish team practices for AI-assisted speed, review, evaluation, and verification.
