About the job

Owns technical qualification of non-standard sites and deals for renewable-powered, off-grid data center infrastructure, making fit decisions and assessing cost, schedule, and execution implications.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain technical qualification criteria, screening tools, and decision gates for non-standard opportunities.
  • Make and communicate technical fit/no-fit recommendations, including assumptions, risks, costs, and schedule implications.
  • Assess site conditions and electrical, thermal, civil, supply-chain, and construction constraints; feed findings into TAR’s standard designs and execution playbook.

What they ask for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering degree backed by deep, hands-on electrical power experience.
  • Strong electrical power systems background, including MV/LV distribution, single-line diagrams, utility service, protection and redundancy topologies, and applicable codes and standards such as NEC and IEEE.
  • Working fluency across thermal and cooling, civil and site work, and construction and deployment.
  • Demonstrated business judgment translating technical conditions into capex, $/MW, and schedule impact, and making or shaping go/no-go decisions.

Nice to have

  • Experience with data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure, including liquid cooling or modular and prefabricated deployments.
  • PE licensure.
