Lead Engineer – Cloud Security (Security Governance)

What you'll do

• Set technical direction and build, integrate, and operate governance workflows for security onboarding, exceptions, findings, remediation, and evidence.
• Drive adoption across eligible cloud accounts and engineering teams through self-service, guidance, automation, and support.
• Establish governance reporting and production service practices, and partner across security, platform, and business teams on decisions and operational handoffs.

What they ask for

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in technology, security engineering, platform engineering, or a related discipline, including building or operating capabilities in a large, complex organization.
• Experience owning an enterprise-scale technical capability as a senior IC or tech lead; designing security, risk, compliance, exception, or remediation workflows; and driving adoption across engineering teams.
• Experience building, integrating, or automating workflow-oriented services, APIs, data flows, or platforms; fluency in at least one general-purpose programming language.
• Hands-on public cloud experience; familiarity with cloud security controls and findings; and working knowledge of security frameworks and standards.

Nice to have

• Experience in cloud security, cybersecurity, security governance, GRC, or another risk-sensitive technology environment.
• Experience with CSPM/CNAPP, infrastructure-as-code scanning, Kubernetes admission controls, policy-as-code, or related security capabilities.

Pay

$132,000.00 - $238,000.00 USD base salary
