Senior Target Security Specialist - Regional Distribution Center - Suffolk, VA

What you'll do

• Conduct yard and perimeter patrols in Target-owned vehicles and use security routines to identify, prevent, and investigate theft and shortage.
• Execute emergency procedures, notify building leadership, and support security projects and onboarding of Asset Protection team members.
• Review and update routine documentation and document cases using case management systems.

What they ask for

• High school degree or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old; possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license and meet applicable state or local requirements.
• Ability to respond calmly to crises, handle confidential information, communicate effectively, and prioritize multiple tasks independently.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. occasionally, conduct frequent patrols, operate powered equipment safely, and work at heights up to 40 ft.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in loss prevention, shortage mitigation, security, or similar work is preferred but not required.

Pay

$20.82 - $37.45 per hour (base salary); $2.00 to $3.50 per hour (shift differential); $23 - $28 (starting pay; posting does not specify whether this is base salary or total pay)
