Heavy Equipment Operator - Heavy Civil & Excavation

What you'll do

• Operate heavy equipment for site preparation and excavation, following project specifications and safety protocols.
• Learn and use Mission Control and on-site remote-control technology; inspect equipment and onboard technology and report maintenance needs digitally.
• Maintain a safe work environment, assist with minor troubleshooting, and coordinate repairs with maintenance partners.

What they ask for

• At least 3 years of heavy equipment operating experience in site preparation and excavation.
• Proven affinity with technological systems or experience using construction software.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel to project sites, work flexible hours including weekends when required, and relocate to Austin, TX if not within commuting distance.

Nice to have

• Strong understanding of earthworks processes such as grading, compaction, and trenching; ability to read digital site plans, blueprints, and grade stakes.
• High tech literacy and interest in new technologies such as drones, simulators, or digital tools.
