About the job
Build Tinker’s developer experience by helping users fine-tune models, improving the platform, and sharing practical guidance and examples.
What you'll do
- Write, test, and maintain code examples, recipes, and documentation for the Tinker cookbook.
- Help users debug technical issues and optimize fine-tuning pipelines; relay user insights to research and infrastructure teams.
- Build tools, integrations, and demos, and share learnings through posts, guides, and talks.
What they ask for
- Experience fine-tuning large language models with supervised and reinforcement learning, including tuning algorithm hyperparameters.
- Experience developing software libraries, especially open-source libraries.
- Ability to reason about model training, fine-tuning, and inference and discuss tradeoffs between approaches.
- Experience creating code examples, tutorials, or papers that help others understand technical concepts.
Nice to have
- Thoughtfulness about developer experience, including developer ergonomics, onboarding, and product sharp edges.
