Research Scientist Intern – TikTok Recommendation(NextGen LLM) - Global Frontier Tech Recruitment Program - 2027 Start (PhD)

What you'll do

• Design and develop scalable recommendation systems for personalized user experiences.
• Apply large-model techniques, including LLMs and MLLMs, to improve recommendation performance and accuracy.
• Collaborate with infrastructure engineers, program managers, and researchers on recommendation relevance, diversity, and engagement.

What they ask for

• Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience in at least one of computer vision, natural language processing, or machine learning.
• Experience with at least one major deep learning framework.
• Familiarity with deep neural network architectures such as transformers, SSM, CNN, RNN, or LSTM.

Nice to have

• Research experience shown through projects, publications, or open-source contributions.
• Publications at venues such as SIGGRAPH, CVPR, ICCV, ICML, NeurIPS, or ICLR.
