Research Scientist, Multimodal Generative AI (Intelligent Creation)– Global Frontier Tech Recruitment Program -2027 Start (PhD)

What you'll do

• Research and develop generative AI and multimodal models, including image and video models.
• Develop and post-train large-scale foundation models, and design efficient architectures and reinforcement learning methods.
• Build creative applications for TikTok, taking work from research to production and exploring AI-driven product opportunities.

What they ask for

• Completing or recently completed a PhD in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Proficiency training generative AI or large models with PyTorch or JAX.
• Strong programming skills and solid machine learning fundamentals.
• Strong problem-solving ability; good communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Research background in generative AI, LLMs/VLMs, or ML systems; hands-on experience in image/video generation and editing, VLM/LLM fine-tuning, efficient model design, or reinforcement learning.
• Research publications at conferences such as CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, SIGGRAPH, or SIGGRAPH Asia.
