Research Scientist - TikTok E-Commerce Recommendation Foundation

What you'll do

• Build and optimize shared foundation models for cross-scenario recommendation and efficient inference.
• Develop event-sequence-driven and end-to-end generative recommendation methods, integrating multimodal understanding.
• Apply LLMs/VLMs to recommendation; work on model training, inference optimization, and system co-design.

What they ask for

• MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent industrial research experience.
• Solid theoretical foundation in machine learning, deep learning, or information retrieval.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with mainstream deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.

Nice to have
