What you'll do

• Research and develop generative AI and multimodal models, primarily for video generation.
• Build creative-application models for TikTok and collaborate across functions to bring research into production.
• Explore AI-driven product opportunities and contribute to new creative experiences.

What they ask for

• Completing or recently completed a PhD in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Proficiency training generative AI or large models with PyTorch or JAX.
• Strong programming skills and machine-learning fundamentals.
• Strong problem-solving ability, motivation, and communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Research background in generative AI, video generation, VLMs, or ML systems; hands-on experience in video generation and editing, VLM fine-tuning, efficient model design and optimization, or reinforcement learning methods such as RLHF, DPO, or GRPO.
• Research publications at top-tier conferences such as CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, SIGGRAPH, or SIGGRAPH Asia.
